The story begins with Arata Mizunashi, an employee at a game company, recieves a mysterious Email from a missing work buddy by the name of Shina Ninomiya who had gone missing a year ago! They had previously worked on a VRMMO known as World's Odyssey (WOD) which had been scrapped due to Shinas disappearance. The Email Arata points to Shina's location... inside WOD! He quickly delves into the game in order to find her, but finds a game riddled with bugs along with an amnesiac Shina. He aims to free her from the game... but would you believe it... it's a SAO situation! The Logout button is gone! Only one thing to do, complete the game in order to free Shina! However... the Email has seemingly set in motion a chain reaction of events in the real world a the stock markets go into chaos and devices worl wide are infecte dby a virus! Also she gets her head bitten off at the start! What's that about!?
Death end re;Quest is available on PlayStation 4. The gameplay for this playthrough will be captured on the PS4 at 60 FPS to take advantage of the higher bitrate on YouTube!
