The RISAT 2BR1, a radar imaging earth observation satellite was successfully placed in the orbit by PSLV C48 apart from nine other foreign satellites.
Addressing the scientists the ISRO chief K Sivan praised the entire team for the successful completion of the mission.
On the occasion he also released a book coinciding with 50th flight of the PSLV.
