Deconstructing cataract surgery 6 - Phacoemulsification

Deconstructing cataract surgery 6 - Phacoemulsification This is the sixth in a series of videos - 'deconstructing cataract surgery' - designed to help surgeons in training develop a solid foundation in cataract surgery technique. In pilot/co-pilot surgical training, it is always best to progress backwards through the operation, learning the last stages first. That way, you are always progressing towards a stage of the operation you are already confident in doing. The points we will make summarise 20 years of teaching cataract surgery. Most of the ideas are not original, and there are many other equally legitimate approaches, but if you see even one thing here that adds to your own technique or, for the trainers, helps you at a teaching session, that's mission accomplished!
