Church Growth is Simpler than We Fear! As we watch the Episcopal Church decline in membership, there is temptation to think that more money, programs and better advertising will be a magic bullet. Through TryTank’s Listening Project, however, we’ve discovered dozens of growing congregations that have actually simplified their programming and given primary attention to relationships and spirituality. The Rev. Katie Nakamura Rengers will explore three themes that emerged from the Listening Project: the leader’s job description, the congregation’s readiness, and the purpose of growth.
