On 30th of January, 2 residents of the village of Golubovskoye were injured as a result of a mortar shelling done by the Ukrainian military - an official representative of the LPR People’s Militia, Yakov Osadchy, reports. The representative of the defense department noted that both victims were taken to a medical institution - they were badly wounded. They are being provided with qualified medical care at the moment. A representative of the LPR People’s Militia explained that the escalation of the situation near the village took place due to the loss of control by the Ukrainian command of the so-called “combined forces operation” over the 93rd brigade, whose commander “refuses to obey the orders of the high command and observe the ceasefire”.

The Ukrainian forces are still trying to destabilize the situation on the contact line. As a result of a shelling done by the Ukrainian troops on 25th of January - some residential buildings in two settlements of the Donetsk Republic were damaged. The village of Yasnoe and the Petrovsky district of the city of Donetsk were under attack.

The OSCE Special Representative, Heidi Grau, announced that the number of victims among the civilian population of Donbass during January was higher in comparison to the last year. The main causes of death are shelling and landmines. She urged the parties of the conflict to ''take all the necessary measures to comply with the ceasefire, and to intensify the mine-clearing actions". She underlined “the need to ensure a safe and reliable access for the special monitoring mission of the OSCE, according to the mission’s mandate.” “These are the key conditions to prevent civilian casualties, and to have a peaceful resolution of the conflict” - the OSCE Special Representative underlined.

4 residential buildings and a power line were damaged as a result of a shelling of the town of Frunze by the Ukrainian troops - the official representative of the People's Militia of the LPR, Yakov Osadchy, reports. He specified that during the shelling - the civilians had to take refuge in the basements of their homes.

The Ukrainian 92nd separate mechanized brigade opened fire on a drone of the OSCE - it happened near the village of Novoselovka, west of Gorlovka - the press service of the DPR People’s Militia Department reports. It was added that the Ukrainian military are using EW stations to jam the signals from the OSCE drones near the village of Novgorodskoye, west of Gorlovka, and near the village of Stepanovka, near Volnovakha.

In the city of Minsk, the parties of the Donbass conflict are considering the 'Oktyabr-Gnutovo' border crossing point, located in the south of Donbass, as a new section for the withdrawal of military forces and assets - the DPR plenipotentiary at the negotiations of the Contact Group, the DPR Foreign Minister, Natalia Nikonorova, announced. According to her, in order to discuss the plan - the group must firstly determine 3 withdrawal sites at once. The process of withdrawal should take place in stages, along the entire contact line. The checkpoint "October" is located in the Novoazovsky district of the DPR. It connects the DPR with a part of Donbass that is being temporarily controlled by Kiev.
