Dog owner abandons dog, claims it had ‘illicit relationship’ with neighbour’s dog | SHOCKING VIDEO A young pet dog has been abandoned “because it had an illicit relationship with the neighbour’s dog”. One could be forgiven for thinking it is a prank, but looks like it is in real earnest. Moral policing of pets? Middle class obsession with ‘honour’ applied to a dog? Whatever it is, it is bizarre and unheard of. The abandoned female Pomeranian is currently in safe hands and a ‘manhunt’ has been launched on Facebook to find its owner, but till the man – for all we know, it could also be a woman – is found, there is no way to ascertain whether the ‘neighbour’s dog’ was a mongrel, cur or a mere street dog with a collar. Considering the tone of moral outrage the owner has adopted towards his or her pet, it surely isn’t an Alsatian or even a Dachshund or any other pedigreed breed that is a rightful ‘match’ for a Pomeranian.
