A Marriott hotel chef with a formidable arsenal was plotting an attack on his Long Beach workplace, police said Wednesday in announcing his arrest. Rodolfo Montoya, 37, was disgruntled and told coworkers he was going to open fire on employees and people entering the airport-adjacent hotel, officials say. The comments were reported to the Marriott’s manager, who contacted police. Assault-style rifles, dozens of high-capacity magazines and hundreds of bullets were seized from Montoya’s home.
