Did you know that many U.S. flags and shields remember the country's Spanish legacy? In this new video from the series "Did you know..." we explain that many of the symbols from different U.S. cities and states refer to the country's Spanish legacy.

The Burgundy Cross, the emblems of Castilla y León, the red and yellow and other references to Spain are present in many symbols of the country, demonstrating the importance that Spain had in the origin and development of the USA. Some of these examples are the seals of Los Angeles, San Diego or Santa Fe, as well as the flags of Alabama, Arizona or Florida, among many others.

The Hispanic Council's "Did You Know..." initiative has the collaboration of the Funadación Consejo España - EE.UU.
