Evidently!! The Sukhoi Su-27 is Superior to The F-15. The Pentagon bought two Russian Su-27 fighter jets from Ukraine. The United States is reported to be using the Russian-made fighter jet to practice effective counter-operation missions, Pravda said.
Russian fighter jets are a serious competitor to US F-15 fighters. The fighter jets made by the Sukhoi design agency were proven to be several times better than the US fighter jets when conducting a number of tests. The Pentagon has been trying to get a Russian fighter, and Ukraine is helping the US do it legally.
News about the agreement between the US and the Ukrainian Air Force appeared on the US-based Strategypage.com website. The website said that Russian Su-27 fighter planes were technically similar to F-15 fighter jets, although Russian aircraft were 30 percent cheaper.
Several Su-27 fighter jets landed at the US Langley airbase in the summer of 1992, under an agreement with the US. Russian pilots inspect F-15 fighter jets at the base and propose a battle simulation. US pilots did not like the idea very much: they thought it was too risky to fight on a base in front of photographers and TV cameras. They finally accepted the offer, but agreed to hold a battle simulation over the Atlantic Ocean, 200 kilometers away from the coast.
The battle simulation scheme is very simple. A Sukhoi will fly behind a US jet, and the planes will swap places.
When in front, US fighter planes tried to fly away from Russian jets, but Russian pilots managed to catch up with the F-15 very easily. The planes then changed places, and the Su-27 in front flew away from the F-15 to turn and gain altitude. Russian fighter jets then placed themselves behind American fighter jets a few minutes later.
In the above simulation, the F-15 pilot lost the Russian aircraft behind him and could not escape while in front of the Russian pilot: or in other words, the Russian pilot succeeded in closing the F-15 movement.
At another time, the F-15 lost a simulation exercise with the Russian Su-27 in the fall of 2000, during a US-Japanese exercise in the Pacific Ocean. Two Su-27 and Su-24MP fighter jets carried out a sudden attack on the aircraft carrier Kitty Hawk from the 7th US Fleet. US aircraft carriers will be destroyed in real battle conditions.
The US Department of Defense is very concerned with increasing sales of the Su-27 and Su-30 worldwide. Russia has been sending these fighter jets to India, China, Malaysia, Venezuela, Indonesia and Algeria for years.
