Man Rescues Driver After Car Explosion A Connecticut man has been recognized for his heroism after he ran toward a burning car to pull the driver to safety. Edward Cyr was out for dinner with his wife in Stafford, Connecticut, on Nov. 1 when he saw a car explode and burst into flames at the intersection. He jumped out and managed to pull the driver, Glennwood Little, to safety. "We now know that there is such a thing as angels living among us, and you, sir, are one," the town's first selectman, Mary Mitta, said of Cyr.
