I couldn’t find any 16x9 HD comparisons of these two animations together so I made one myself. On the left will be Jerry the Mouse in “Anchors Aweigh” (1945) and on the right will be Stewie Griffin in the Family Guy episode from S5E9, “Road to Rupert” (2007).
It goes without saying that I don’t own this footage that creating this video took no talent at all, unlike the performance of Gene Kelly which not only showed off his incredible footwork and breathtaking athleticism, but his boundless energy as well.
