Dr Clarissa Lee considers the different kinds of political trolling that took place in Malaysia’s cyberspace during the period before and after the 14th General Election (GE14). In this JCI Forum, she addresses different forms of internet political trolling triggered by pre- and post-GE14 events.

Dr Clarissa Lee is a Research Fellow at the Jeffrey Cheah Institute on Southeast Asia and the Jeffrey Sachs Center on Sustainable Development. Her expertise is in science and technology studies, science and technology policies and science communication. She currently runs two research projects: Healthy Ageing and Speculative Design; and Science and Technology for Sustainable Development (with particular focus on nuclear science and technology). Clarissa has experience in the deployment of interdisciplinary methodology that brings together approaches in the arts and sciences to mediate new approaches and thinking to new or old problems, and towards the shaping of new knowledge areas.
